Recipe removal requests

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Goumi lets people save recipes they find online, from recipe sites and from posts on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and elsewhere, into their own private cooking library. This page is for creators and publishers who would rather their recipe could not be imported into Goumi.

1. What Goumi does with an imported recipe

• It reads the page or post a person shares with it, and turns the recipe into a list of ingredients and steps for that person to cook from.
• The saved recipe always credits you by name or handle, links back to your original, and plays your video through the platform's own player. Goumi never re-hosts your video or photos.
• An imported recipe is private to the person who saved it. Goumi never publishes it to other users or anywhere else.

2. How to ask for removal

Email hello@goumi.ai with the subject "Recipe removal request" and include:

• the full link to each post or page (the address in your browser, not a shortened share link);
• how we can confirm it's yours, for example by replying from the email address on your channel or site, or by sending a direct message from the account.

3. What happens next

Within 2 business days of confirming the request:

• Goumi stops importing those links, for everyone;
• everything Goumi stored about them for its shared cache is deleted.

We'll email you once it's done.

Recipes that people saved before the request stay in their own private libraries, in the same way a bookmark would. They keep the credit and the link to your original.

4. Copyright notices

If you'd like to send a formal copyright notice instead, send it to the same address. Please include your contact details, the work concerned, the links in question, and a statement that you're the owner or authorised to act for them.
